Referral information for all service users

 Below is a summary of the referral routes for each of our services. More information about each of the services is available in the get support pages.


Assertive Housing Support Service

Referrals to the service will come via Aberdeen City Council's Homelessness Advice & Support Team. If you would like to speak to any of the team or find out more, please contact us on 0300 303 0903 and select option 2 or email us at hello@weareahss.org.


Assertive Outreach Street Begging

Assertive Outreach Street Begging Workers regularly walk around the city centre, these outreach workers can be accessed directly by any person street begging. If you would like to speak to any of the team or find out more please contact us on 0300 303 0903 and select option 3 or email us at streetbegging@weareac.org.


Direct Access

During Covid, appointments are required for emergency face-to-face support. Please call 0300 303 0903 to arrange a time. All other support is available remotely. Please call 0300 303 0903 or email Direct-access@weareac.org to access support.

Opening Times

Only pre-made appointments can access face-to-face support. Further assistance is available online or by phone.

Monday: 9 am to 4.45 pm
Tuesday: 9 am to 4.45 pm
Wednesday: 9 am to 4.45 pm
Thursday: 9 am to 4.45 pm
Friday: 9 am to 3.45 pm

Housing First

Referrals can be made by anyone over the age of 16 to Housing First through support agencies or by completing the referral form at the bottom of this page.


Justice Support Service

Referrals to the service will come via Criminal Justice Social Work (CJSW); however, self-referrals can be passed on to CJSW for consideration via the Justice Support Service Workers. Violence Against Women

Women can self-refer to the project or a referral can be made on their behalf by any agency to the Violence Against Women project. All referrals are considered based on individual need rather than a waiting list system. Contact us on 0300 303 0903 and select option 4 or email us at vaw@weareac.org


Wernham House

It is not possible to make a self-referral to Wernham House, access is made in agreement with Aberdeen City Council Social Work Integrated Alcohol Service. All referrals will require a Single Shared Assessment (SSA) to be completed by Aberdeen City Council Social Work service.

The referrals will be forwarded to the management team at Wernham House and Senior Social Worker, Integrated Alcohol Services (IAS) who will work together to prioritise referrals and when there is a vacancy, decide on the admission.
