Out of Hours
If you are looking for support outside of our normal opening times the following organisations and agencies may be able to help:
Aberdeen City Council out of hours services
Homelessness Out of Hours Helpline - 0800 917 6379
This emergency service operates from 5pm to 8.30am Monday to Friday. During weekends and public holidays they also provide a 24 hour service.
Social Work - 0800 7315 520
The Out of Hours team provides an after hours emergency service within the City of Aberdeen. A wide range of Social Work services are covered, delivering crisis assessment by a home visit or phone call. Referrals are then passed on to other social work teams and appropriate agencies. The problem will be discussed over the telephone. Whatever action is needed for the immediate situation will be taken. This may include a visit from the service’s social workers. The most urgent problems will be dealt with first. If action is needed but not immediately, or there is a need for further action, the information will be passed on to day staff.
The full range of social work services is not available out of hours, and there is no drop-in facility.
The service is available from:
Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to midnight
Friday 4pm to midnight
Weekends and public holidays 8.30am to midnight
Staff are office-based until midnight and thereafter on call from home for emergencies only.

Emergency Community Care Service - 03456 08 12 06
Aberdeenshire Council's Out of Hours Emergency Service helps anyone experiencing personal or family problems that reach a crisis at nights, weekends or bank holidays. They provide an emergency social care service in situations that can't wait until the social work offices reopen.
Calls are screened by experienced staff who will prioritise those referrals that are emergencies, and pass on other referrals to daytime services.
When necessary, out of hours emergency service staff will visit you in your own home, in hospital, at a police station or at another relevant location.
This service is available from 5pm to 9am, weekdays and all weekend. The office isn't staffed after midnight. But if your call is an emergency you will be put through to someone.
